Biante Model Cars are very excited to present the 1:18 Scale Holden VN Commodore SS Group A 1991 Tooheys 1000 Special Edition twinset. As part of the 1991 running of The Great Race, naming rights sponsor Tooheys held a competition called “Win one for you and a mate” which featured two rare Metallic Black Holden VN Commodore SS Group A’s as the prize for a lucky punter and their best mate.
These special edition Group A’s were originally produced from the Holden factory line in the original Durif Red paint job but were later sprayed the custom Metallic Black and featured a red racing stripe around the lower body, special Tooheys 1000 decals and a 1000V8 & 2000V8 NSW registered number plates, both of which have been replicated to form this twinset.
The VN Group A mould is perhaps one of the finest examples of an Australian die-cast model produced by Biante. With standard features you would expect from us such as fully opening parts, highly detailed engine bay, interior, exterior and undercarriage combined with even higher detailed characteristics including fine seat flocking in the interior, raised “Goodyear Eagle” lettering on the tyre walls and authentic bonnet hinges and gas struts, this is an amazing limited edition twinset. We have even replicated the correct build numbers from the Holden factory for both of these VN’s on the dash!
This twinset will be produced with special edition exterior packaging with each model coming in its own Biante protective foam clam with them both contained within the one exterior box. One numbered Certificate of Authenticity will be included with each twinset based on the number produced.
